Breathwork

Breath as medicine

Discover the profound ability to shift your energy, release stagnation, and elevate your state of being through conscious breathing.

Breath is the bridge between the conscious and the subconscious — the one autonomic function we can deliberately influence. By changing how we breathe, we change how we feel, how we think, and how we meet the world.

At Resonate Yoga, we honor breathwork as both an ancient pranayama lineage and a living, somatic practice. Whether you are looking for a daily tool to regulate your nervous system or an immersive journey to release what's been held for years, the breath is waiting.

Event Spotlight

Conscious Circular Breathing

An Immersive Somatic Journey

Conscious Circular Breathing is a continuous, connected breath practice — inhale and exhale flowing without pause — that gently bypasses the analytical mind and invites the body to release what words cannot reach. Held in ceremony with live sound healing, it becomes a profound somatic journey.

What to Expect

You'll be guided through a circular breathing rhythm while immersed in the vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, and handpan. The breath softens the body's defenses; the sound carries you deeper. Many participants report emotional release, vivid energetic sensations, clarity, and a profound sense of peace that lingers long after the session ends.

Daily Practice

Core breathing techniques

Four practices to return to. Begin with a few rounds; let the breath be the teacher.

Kundalini

Ego Eradicator

What it is

Arms held at 60°, fingertips curled to the pads of the palms with thumbs extended, paired with Breath of Fire — a rapid, rhythmic breath through the nose.

Benefits

Builds heat, clears the lungs, and is said to expand the auric field. A bright reset for low energy or mental fog.

Pranayama

Bhastrika (Bellows Breath)

What it is

Forceful inhale and equally forceful exhale through the nose, driven from the belly. Begin slowly; build to a steady rhythm.

Benefits

Energizing and oxygenating. Stokes digestive fire, sharpens focus, and shakes off stagnation.

Pranayama

Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril)

What it is

Slow, even breathing alternating nostrils with a soft thumb-and-ring-finger seal. No retention required to begin.

Benefits

Balances the hemispheres of the brain, calms the nervous system, and prepares the mind for meditation.

Modern / Somatic

Box Breathing

What it is

Four equal counts: inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. Repeat for several rounds.

Benefits

Shifts the autonomic nervous system from fight-or-flight to rest-and-digest. An immediate grounding tool for anxiety and a focus-sharpener before demanding work.
